एक बार जब यीशु ने दस कोढ़ियों को चंगा किया, तो उनमें से सिर्फ एक ने वापस आकर उसे धन्यवाद दिया।

2. The Mosaic Law had provisions for quarantining lepers for health reasons, but there was no basis for unkindness.

मूसा के कानून में कोढ़ियों को लोगों से अलग रखने के बारे में बताया गया था, ताकि यह बीमारी दूसरों में न फैल जाए। लेकिन इसका मतलब यह नहीं था कि उनके साथ बदसलूकी की जाए।

5. May Joʹab’s house never be without a man suffering from a discharge+ or a leper+ or a man working at the spindle* or one falling by the sword or one in need of food!”

+ योआब के घराने में सदा ऐसे लोग रहें जो रिसाव से पीड़ित हों,+ कोढ़ी हों,+ तकली चलानेवाले हों,* खाने के मोहताज हों या वे तलवार से मारे जाएँ!”
